A JOURNEY INTO SCOTLAND’S WILDLIFE

Scotland is home to some of the world's most iconic wildlife, our hills and glens, seas and rivers are teaming with life.
Wildlife photographers come from all over the world to capture our magnificent nature, and in this exhibition two of Scotland's rising wildlife photographers - Michael Cook and Callum McKenzie - have joined forces to present a captivating exhibition showcasing the beauty and diversity of Scotland's wildlife.
Through their stunning photographs, Michael and Callum will take us on a voyage around Scotland capturing native birds and mammals, in motion, in their habitats and always amazingly up close.
Come along to meet the photographers at our opening event on Saturday 22 August, 2026 from 3-4pm .
About Michael
Michael Cook is a professional wildlife photographer and guide based in Stirling, Scotland.
After a career in finance and charity leadership culminating in being CEO of a national environmental charity, Michael recently founded WildScot Photography. Whilst he has photographed wildlife in 6 continents and visited over 70 countries he now focuses on the rich wildlife here in Scotland.
Combining patience, fieldcraft, and photographic expertise, he creates images that share the joy of Scotland’s wildlife. Michael was a finalist in the 2025 British Wildlife Photography Awards.
Through WildScot Photography, Michael is developing wildlife photography workshops and guiding services to help photographers of all levels improve their skills while experiencing Scotland’s remarkable wildlife.

Callum is a 22 year old Scottish wildlife photographer and recent graduate of Kelvin College Glasgow. He loves capturing animals in their natural habitats and finding those unique moments that show the more 'human side' of wildlife.
As the winner of the Student Scottish Nature Photography Awards 2024 award, this was a proud moment which has encouraged him to explore new places across Scotland, while continuing to develop his skills and personal style in wildlife photography
He also enjoys sharing his photography at the Barras Market in Glasgow, where he sell prints and other pieces featuring his favourite wildlife images.
