Capturing nocturnal life both here and abroad, Lesley’s ability to capture light and shadow, reflections and colour is extraordinary. Her work is informed by a keen interest in and knowledge of art history and you can see the influence of Edward Hopper and Vermeer in her work but emphatically from a female perspective.

The theme for our Christmas Selling Exhibition this year is MIDWINTER. We’re seeking artists and craftspeople to submit work to be considered for inclusion in our curated Christmas selling exhibition which will run from Saturday 14 November to Saturday 9 January.

This year’s theme is Midwinter, an exhibition inspired by the beauty and atmosphere of the winter season.

We are looking for work that reflects the colours, textures and mood of midwinter: frost, snow, ice, quiet light and long shadows as well as work that looks at the world differently, challenges the familiar and explores new ways of seeing.
