FERNS - DENISE CHATEAU-LONEY
Denise Chateau-Loney
Working with textiles and looking firstly to my garden for inspiration, I have experimented with botanical dying and printing for a number of years. I work in tandem with the seasons, using only what I find in nature; the fallen leaves and bark of trees, flower petals, seeds in the autumn. To me the unique possibilities of botanical dye and natural, found materials are limitless - a sentiment showcased in all of my work.
FERNS - Cotton, botanical print of ferns enhanced with gold thread. Hangs on a natural varnished rod.
Size - 5 ft x 2 ft
